Indian Cycling Foundation · भारतीय साइक्लिंग संघ
A nationwide grassroots talent search program to find India's next generation of Olympic cyclists.
The Problem
At Paris 2024, India finished 71st, behind countries with a fraction of our population. Cycling is one of the most accessible sports in India, yet we still lack a clear system to identify which of our 1.4 billion people have the potential to compete at the highest level.
Why it happens
Our Solution
भारत की सबसे बड़ी साइक्लिंग प्रतिभा खोज
A nationwide grassroots scouting program that reaches schools, villages, and communities, testing thousands of young Indians for the physical traits that create world class cyclists.
Why Now
Olympic cyclists usually peak between ages 24 and 28. The athletes who will race at Brisbane 2032 need to enter structured training now, between ages 14 and 18. The window is open and this is the moment to act.
This is not limited to cycling. Our testing protocol captures broad fitness markers that feed into talent pipelines for athletics, weightlifting, rowing, and other strength and endurance sports.

What We Test
Our testing protocol is grounded in sports science, measuring the traits that predict elite cycling performance and that also transfer well to other Olympic disciplines.
Impact Beyond Sport
Our work extends far beyond the velodrome, creating measurable social impact in public health, education, gender equality, and climate resilience.
